Focuses
on promoting sustainable agricultural practices and ensuring food security for
local communities. Specific interventions includes agroforestry, food forests,
bio intensive kitchen gardens, organic agriculture, tree nursery management.
Clean Water (WASH)
The target Communities big challenge in access to clean water. We promote technologies that enhance provision of clean water through borehole drilling and rain water harvesting through guttering, plastic water tanks and water pans excavation.
Peace Building
The target project areas experience frequent resource-based conflicts. This is mainly contributed by the fact that the area is inhabited by different ethnic communities with diverse livelihood strategies i.e. pastoralists, mixed farmers etc. Conflicts normally escalate during dry seasons.
Social Enterpreneurship
Equal
foundation focuses on adopting agriculture value chains aligned to
resilience and climate smart agriculture to promote food security, income
and economic empowerment. Key value chains of focus include poultry, pigs
and dairy goats farming.
